Read what some of our guests have to say about Secret Sydney Walking Tours…

I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone visting Sydney or living locally. I have just moved here, and wanted to see places which were off the beaten tourist track. There are some great views and hidden gems to see. Chris is so knowledgeable and personable, and it was fascinating to hear about local history, culture and Sydney’s origins. I loved the tram shed and visiting the Chinese temple. I will be keeping a look out for any other tours that Chris offers. Visited January 2017

Loved this guided walking tour with Chris! Found out a great deal of interesting information about the old Sydney suburb of Glebe in a relaxed and friendly manner. Really enjoyed seeing the beautiful original homes and streetscapes and hearing about their history. Glebe really is a iconic Sydney suburb which provides an insight into the past! Tour ended at the Sydney Fish Market where I enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch overlooking the water. Would highly recommend this tour.

This is a great tour. Relaxed, informative and quite quirky; the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge do not really feature, but some of the more extraordinary residential homes of the area do. And that’s great. Our guide, Chris, was terrific. He didn’t feel like a tour guide at all. It was like he had personally invited you on a walk. And what a walk. This was Sydney as I haven’t seen it. Mostly around the residential district called the Glebe, Chris was informative about both the history and the architecture of the whole area — and it was fascinating. The walk is easy and there are few hills or steps, so pretty straight forward for people who aren’t very mobile. After you have ‘done’ the beauty of Darling Harbour and The Rocks, and so on, I highly recommend this tour as a quiet and lovely addition. And lunch at the fish market after the tour ends is a must.

This was an excellent way to spend a couple of hours with a very knowledgeable guide. We saw a side of Sydney that not many visitor see and ended up at the fabulous fish market. Would thoroughly recommend.

Sydney is such a wonderful city and after this tour it is more clear why it is known as a city of villages. We had the pleasure of having Chris as our guide on our tour around Glebe. Chris is very knowledgeable and he manages to weave the history of the city with anecdotes and architecture making you want to learn more about this wonderful place.

The tour is limited to 6 people giving you the opportunity to ask plenty of questions and get personalised attention. It is an easy 2h walk; make sure you wear confortable shoes and don’t forget your sunscreen. As the tour finishes around lunch time and close to the Sydney Fish Market, we decided to go for yum cha. Perfect! We have already recommended this tour to our friends.

We had an excellent tour with Chris. Glebe is a beautiful area, well worth to visit and perfect for repeat visitors to Sydney. Chris has a broad knowledge about Glebe, which he communicates in an entertaining and interesting way. We definitely recommend this tour.

Our Guide for this walk, Chris led us on a most informative and interesting 2 Hour Walk from the beautiful Jubilee Park on Rozelle Bay, in and around the district of Glebe close to the foreshore through to Blackwattle Bay. Chris’s interpretation of the history with a timeline of foreshore area and close surrounds revealed a few hidden secrets and included the Sze Yup Chinese Temple , the majestic Toxteth Park, and Bellevue House. His narration was easy to understand and his delivery excellent. All of this in a walk so close to Sydney CBD and within easy access by the LightRail. Great value and would highly recommend, particularly if you think you know a little about Sydney!
